About Lucy’s Art Club
Lucy’s Art Club is an inclusive arts collective open to creatives of all mediums, disciplines, and neurotypes. Founded by experimental artist Lucy Mager in partnership with contemporary artists and gallerists Dale Wells and Darren Neave of Turntable Gallery, the Art Club provides its members with opportunities to socialise, learn new skills, and exhibit their work in group shows.
The mission of Lucy’s Art Club is to create a welcoming space for all attendees, with a particular focus on supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals as they engage with art and express their creativity. The founders understand first-hand the challenges of navigating a creative career as neurodivergent individuals, and they feel a responsibility to support others in similar situations.
A key feature of Lucy’s Art Club is its commitment to making accommodations that ensure individuals feel comfortable attending the gallery. This includes offering travel bursaries for attendees with accessibility issues and providing support to help everyone feel at ease within the gallery environment. Additionally, Lucy’s Art Club aims to foster connections among attendees, thereby strengthening the inclusive atmosphere.
